Book Summary

Mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews’s chance to reclaim his title as light heavyweight champ is shattered when he’s injured only months before the rematch. To make sure he’s healed in time, his trainer sends him to recuperate under a professional’s care—Reid’s best friend’s little sister, all grown up.

Disorganized and bookish Lucie Miller needs some professional help of her own. She’d do anything to catch the eye of a doctor she’s crushed on for years, so when Reid offers seduction lessons in exchange for 24/7 conditioning for the biggest fight of his career, Lucie jumps at the chance.

Soon Reid finds him himself in the fight of his life...winning Lucie's heart before she gives it to someone else.

My Review

The good news is, I thought this was a super cute story that I couldn’t get enough of.  I laughed in spots and waited for the magic to happen in others.
The bad news is the beginning and the ending, both have all been done before.  Particularly the ending.  I almost forgave the beginning, but then that ending.  I would have wished for the two meeting at the ball and him asking her to dance.  It would have been better than the overdone scene.  And if you haven’t read as many books as I have or scene as much tv or movies, the ending might not bother you.  It was a good HEA all the same, just over done.
My favorite scene is at the bar with the darts game.  Something typical, but the author made this scene her own.
Still, I did enjoy the book, my rating is purely because part of the story weren't original enough.  However, I still would recommend a read.  It was good.
My book boyfriend, Reid.
