Hidden (Firelight #3) by Sophie Jordan

Hidden (Firelight #3) by Sophie Jordan

This is a young adult paranormal romance novel (Rated PG-13)

Book Summary

Jacinda was supposed to bond with Cassian, the "prince" of their pride. But she resisted long before she fell in love with Will—a human and, worse, a hunter. When she ran away with Will, it ended in disaster, with Cassian's sister, Miram, captured. Weighed down by guilt, Jacinda knows she must rescue her to set things right. Yet to do so she will have to venture deep into the heart of enemy territory.

The only way Jacinda can reach Miram is by posing as a prisoner herself, though once she assumes that disguise, things quickly spiral out of her control. As she learns more about her captors, she realizes that even if Will and Cassian can carry out their part of the plan, there's no guarantee they'll all make it out alive. But what Jacinda never could have foreseen is that escaping would be only the beginning....

Loyalties are tested and sacrifices made in the explosive conclusion to Sophie Jordan's Firelight trilogy.

My Review

So, I wasn’t all gung ho about reading this book.  But to be honest, the story moved. There was enough going on to hold my attention.
But during the book, Jacinda is constantly reminding us who she has chosen and the author keeps making us feel bad over her decision. It was quite confusing, but I liked both guys. I’m usually all for love triangles. I think it makes things interesting and I usually pick a side or don’t care. In this case, I really liked both, but this book made me like one more. Oh, well. I felt like I did in the Matched series finale (Crossed), I just felt like there were no real winners.
Anyway, if you like the series, I say go finish it. It wasn’t a bad book or bad series finale. I’m just still really depressed over one character. I’m hoping she will write his story. He deserves a HEA.

Audio Review
Therese Plummer continues to narrator in this series. She does a good job with it.
My book boyfriend Cassian. (Is he the guy, you ask? I won’t say. Read it for yourself.)
