Book Summary

The is a Stand Alone novel with an unexpected twist. If you think you have the Hart Brothers figured out, this book will change everything. If you like your novels to have a smooth ride, do not read this!

This book contains sex and language not intended for younger readers.

"Hello, my name is Kade Hart and I’m a drug addict." Isn't that what recovering addicts are supposed to say? Hell, if I know. I’m not sure about anything anymore. Not since I met her. Juliette. She's my game changer.

I’ve lived on the streets, been in places no one ever wants to see, survived pure hell with the bastard who raised me. I thought I'd finally managed to put all that behind me, come to terms with who and what I am. Until she walked into my life. She’s running from the people who slaughtered her family, people who want her dead, too, and she makes me want to be the kind of man who can protect her, who can save her. But I'm not sure I’m that guy. I'm no one's hero.

Or am I?

If she asks me why I love her, I wouldn’t be able to tell her a single reason. Because there isn’t one. There are dozens. All wrapped and merged together to create my special love for her. I’ve often heard the phrase, “She stole my heart.” Something can’t be stolen which is freely given and I have not only given her mine, I have laid it at her feet.

My Review

Poor Kade who has been through hell and back, falls for the wrong girl. A nun. Go figure. Poor guy hasn’t had a whole lot of good in his life and now this. But this story just isn’t hearts and flowers, there is mystery and intrigue to keep the story entertaining on all levels.

Our nun, Juliette, isn’t the girl who dreamed of giving her life to God. Circumstances have placed her life with those that serve the lord.

Still, the attraction between Kade and Juliette is sacrilegious. Yet, you’ll find yourself rooting for them all the way. And their relationship as it develops isn’t a smooth ride for either of them. And they won’t’ cross certain lines (for the religious types including myself) very easily or without thought.

I won’t spoil the story, but the author gives us an option at the end of the book that’s new and exciting way of writing. I happen to have taken both paths and either works really really well.

This isn’t some simple love story. It’s complicated with twists and turns of the Hart (get it, heart, lol). Anyway, if you haven’t read a book by this author, you should give her a try. One of my other favorites by her is Tragically Flawed. Anyway, pick this one up.

My book boyfriend is Kade. (And he’s smoking hot). I have it on good authority this is the author’s vision of the character.
