My Reviews

 

I’ll say this again like I have a million times before. I don’t need romance in a story to like it. In fact, this series much like Anita Blake was really passive about romance and focused more on world building, kick ass females and action.

However, if you bait the readers into a romance you create, then go all in. I felt like I had blue balls while reading this and I’m not a guy. It was frustrating for me. I hate interruptions and I’ll leave it at that. I just didn’t think romance is this author’s strong suit.

However with that said, I was shocked at the turn the author took with Derek. And at this point, I shouldn’t be shocked. This author has shown to have no mercy when it comes to her characters to further the plot. Anyway, tears….

And the plot was entertaining as usual and kept me reading throughout.

At the end of the day, I’m still eager to move forward with this series.

Audio Review

Renee Raudman did a good job with narration.
