Book Summary

Rising-star blogger Milla Kierce knows she's arrived when she sees the swag basket in her dressing room on the night of her late-night television debut. But before she can bite into the muffin that symbolizes her success, gunfire echoes through the TV studio. She's just hidden herself (mostly in plain sight) when the door flings open. Instead of a gunman, there stands one of the world's most popular rock stars, Gage Daxson, looking for his own way out of danger.

Thrown together, they'll battle a venomous man seeking revenge and his own sexual pleasure, but they may never leave the building again. Distracted by fear, fame, and infamy, can these two somehow find their way to each other?

Equal parts horrifying and hilarious, Debra Anastasia's Late Night With Andres offers more than a few twists and turns—and, of course, enough heat to keep things interesting.

100% of the proceeds generated from sales the novella Late Night with Andres will be donated by Debra Anastasia, Omnific Publishing, and all the staff members involved, to assist in the battle against breast cancer—because cancer sucks.

My Review

When I heard about this story, I jumped at the chance to read. This author wowed me with Poughkeepsie and I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed with this story.
And guess what, I wasn’t. This story is laugh out loud funny. Milla, a girl with blogging success is a free spirit in her own right. She’s funny without trying and throws a monkey wrench at a rock star.
Gage, our reluctant rock star, is re-thinking the idea of fame. He is the hero of this unfortunate event and takes a few for the team, lol.
There are a couple of other players in this story and this author does a wonderful job of giving us different perspectives in order for us to fully see the event that is unfolding.
Hillarious, fast pace, sexy and fun, Late Night with Andres is a novella that will please. It’s short and sassy and not one to disappoint. Not only pick it up because it’s entertaining. Pick it up because the author is donating all the net proceeds to breast cancer research, a worthy cause.
My book boyfriend is Gage, but I’ll give you a dream cast of Milla and Gage.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Debra Anastasia grew up in New York and got a bachelor's degree in political science at SUNY New Paltz. At the start of her marriage, she moved to southern Maryland with her husband. She still doesn't trust crabs and all their legs, though everyone else in her family thinks they're delicious. Her favorite hobbies include knitting, painting furniture and wall murals, and slapping clowns.
Her writing started a decent handful of years ago when along with the dogs, cat, kids, and husband, the voices of characters started whispering stories in Debra's ear. Insomnia was the gateway for the plots that wouldn't give up, wouldn't let go. In the shower, a twist would take hold and--dripping and frenzied--she'd find somewhere, anywhere to write it down.

Interview

Thanks for joining me today.

1. What was your inspiration for this story?

Girl power. I think everything I write has to be about how strong women are. And how a strong woman can fall in love. I was interested to see how a love story could start in an impossible situation.

2. What is your current project you are working on?

I'm in the process of putting the finishing touches on the Poughkeepsie Enhanced Collector's Edition (an interactive app that includes music, video and sounds and so much more!) and getting ready for the release of Return to Poughkeepsie while writing the third book in the series. Plus, the holidays! I should drink more wine.

3. Will you have any more releases this year?

The Collector's Edition and Return to Poughkeepsie will both be coming out before 2013 closes.

4. What is your favorite thing about writing?

The readers, hands down every time. I have the most wonderful, adventurous readers ever.
5. What is the one thing you want people to know about you?

That I hate wearing a bra. I'm not wearing one now.
