My Review

After reading this installment, I made the note that romance is not an important for me to enjoy a well written book. And this author adds just a bit. And how she handles it, is far better than Chicagoland. And I was okay with the tiny bit we get because it’s enough not to be distracting.
A lot happens in this story. I figured it out early who the “who done it” was. But I still enjoyed the unfolding.
Besides Jane digging roots into Louisiana and learning more about her heritage, she chooses a mate. I can’t say that I was on board with the guy she chose. However, her reasons made sense.  And I could respect them. Thus, I have accepted that guy.
Overall, I still interested enough to continue with this series.
Audio Review
Khristine Hvam continues to do an excellent job with the narration.
